The boxed in design in the frame holds salt, dirt and allow corrosion to happen. The anti-Chip coating were not adequate to arrest the rusting process. Dana had to pay 25 million to Toyota for settlement, but Toyota settlement with the owners will likely hit $3.4 Billion.
